Balco Sensor Probes

Balco wire sensors are commonly used in HVAC and other applications that measure the temperature of air, water, or like materials.  Balco sensor probes have a base resistance of 1000 ohms.

Balco wire sensors can be used as either a point sensing probe or an averaging probe.   Averaging probes measure the average temperature through the total length of the probe.  Ideal for air ducts and other applications requiring an averaging reading.   All Balco wire sensor probes may be bent with standard tube bending tools.   Probes are available straight, bent to 45 degrees or bent to 90 degrees.

Balco sensor probes typically have a plain sheath with no permanently attached fittings. They are usually mounted with the use of a compression fitting (supplied separately) or other mechanical support.
